"3D Impulse" Laboratory is a scientific research unit of the Faculty of Mechanical and Civil Engineering in Kraljevo, which deals with the application of digital technologies to develop new products.
The laboratory was established in the within the project "Innovation Management for New Products", known by the acronym "IMPulse", funded by the European Commission (with the amount of € 966,624), the City of Kraljevo (with the amount 3,500,000 dinars) and City of Cacak (the amount of 3,000,000 dinars). The project was implemented in the period 2011-2013:
- Faculty of Mechanical and Civil Engineering in Kraljevo University of Kragujevac,
- Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Bologna,
- Regional Chamber of Commerce Kraljevo,
- Municipality Kraljevo and
- Regional Centre for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises from Krusevac
The results of the project "Impulse" upgraded two projects supported by the USAID Sustainable Local Development Program (worth $ 38,000 and 5000 $) which raised the capacity of laboratories for the promotion and continuing education in the field of digital technologies for product development.
"3D Impulse" Laboratory stimulates innovation and increases the competitiveness of the economy and its environment promoting and applying digital technologies for new product development.
"3D Impulse" Laboratory accomplish with companies by realizing a multitude of small projects which helps continuous development of new and improvement of existing products. The laboratory is a center that provides a common education, consulting and development services to companies that individually would not be able to afford the use of modern technical achievements.
We know that the base of any progress are knowledge - and its main carriers are the people. We are proud of our experts in which we have invested a lot of knowledge, and will continue to do so in the future. We are especially pleased that our staff include PhD and master students of the Faculty of Mechanical and Civil Engineering in Kraljevo, which contributes to our mission of introductions.
HEAD OF LABORATORY
Leader and founder of the laboratory is Dr. Snezana Kostic Ciric, docent at the Faculty of Mechanical and Civil Engineering in Kraljevo, and it is responsible for the organization of laboratories and collaboration with service users.
Snežana is graduated at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Kraljevo, production-economic departmen, she have a MA degree, Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade, department of general machine construction, and the PhD degree in the field of construction of mechanical systems successfully defended in Mechanical Engineering in Kraljevo. She has specialized in the study visit at the University of Bologna and study trips to Germany and Croatia.
She teaches Machine Elements and Machine Design and Development at the Faculty of Mechanical and Civil Engineering in Kraljevo. She has published 12 works in scientific journals and 45 presentations at scientific conferences, participated in 9 national and 4 international projects, and she was team leader of the „IMPuls“ project, which established the Laboratory.
Lead engineer for additive production
Mr Nebojsa Bogojević is the leading engineer for additive production, responsible for the preparation and realization of selective laser sintering production. Nebojsa is a mechanical engineer graduated at the Faculty of Mechanical and Civil Engineering in Kraljevo in the design and construction of mechanical systems. He specialized at study visit to Sweden, in the field of additive manufacturing are studied in specialized courses in Kraljevo and study tours in Germany.
Hi is teaching assistant at the Department of construction and design in mechanical engineering. He has published 11 work in scientific journals and 24 presentations at scientific conferences, co-authored one patent and participated in 6 national and 4 international projects.
Lead engineer for optical scanning
Aleksandar Vranic is the leading engineer for optical scanning, in charge for the preparation and implementation of 3D scanning, quality control and reverse engineering.
Alexander is a mechanical engineer who graduated at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering in Kraljevo in the design and construction of mechanical systems. In the field of optical scanning, he attended the specialized courses in Kraljevo and study tour in Germany.
Teaching assistant at the Department of basic mechanical construction and materials technology. He has published 3 works in scientific journals and 5 announcements at scientific conferences.

Faculty of Mechanical and Civil Engineering in Kraljevo
From the Krusevac and Kragujevac direction
After entering the Kraljevo crossing the river Morava (from the Kragujevac and Ibar direction), (from the direction of Krusevac over Ratine bypass), and passing the factory "Magnohrom" pump-gas, the mall "DIS" and gas station "NIS", on the right side of the road is parking place of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering in Kraljevo, can be easily identified by airplane model, Monument to airplane factory.
From Čačak and Raška direction
After passing through the first intersection with traffic lights continue straight (if you crossing the railroad overpass before intersection) or left (if you crossing the railroad overpass before in level), continue 2.5km down the street with separate lanes, passing through more three intersections with traffic lights. Parking at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering in Kraljevo, located on the left side can be easily identified by airplane model, Monument to airplane factory.

EOS INT M280

EOS Formiga P100
EOS Formiga P100 is a machine for selective laser sintering Objects of plastics produced by the German manufacturer EOS from the surrounding Munich. By using this machine objects can be produced from:
- polymeric materials based on polyamide
- polymeric materials with additions of metal particles
- composite materials with polymer matrix strengthened with glass fibers
whose dimensions are limited by overall dimensions of working chamber machine that has dimensions of 200x250x330 mm. Layer thickness of material used to produce objects is 100μm.
Atos Compact Scan 5M
Atos Compact Scan 5M an optical scanner for measuring and quality control. By using two cameras to capture the object being scanned and a projector that emits blue light achieves high resolution enables measurement points position on the object surface with an error of less than 15μm. Atos Comapact Scan 5M is a robust and portable device, which allows you to work in the field.
We believe that the best recommendation for our work, our customers. Within the project "Impulse" Our laboratory has developed 308 computer models and 121 prototype for the companies from Raski, Rasinski and Morava region. Building upon the results of this project, our laboratory has expanded its work on the whole territory of Serbia and neighboring countries.
